Jon Kerner is the Group Vice President of Operations & CIO for EarthLink (www.EarthLink.net), the nation’s next generation internet service provider.  EarthLink serves over 5 million subscribers with dial-up, high-speed, web hosting, and voice services.

Jon leads EarthLink’s technical and operations staff, managing the internet provider’s data center, network, application development, end user support, security, fraud and abuse, and supply chain functions.  He is responsible for the backbone and infrastructure that provides EarthLink’s internet service, including three data centers, hundreds of network points of presence, and mail farms that deliver more than three billion messages each month. 

Jon has been with EarthLink since 2000.  Prior to joining EarthLink, he was a Principal with the management consulting firm Scott, Madden and Associates, leading the firm’s IT management practice.  Jon advised corporate IT management teams on IT planning and alignment engagements and supported businesses in maximizing return on their IT investments.  Jon has also served in an advisory capacity for a number of government, industry, and non-profit organizations.
