Biography
Adriane
B. Randolph is a
doctoral candidate in the Department of Computer Information Systems at
Georgia
State University in Atlanta, Georgia. She holds a Bachelor of Science in
Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia
and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School
for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia.
Her
research interests include human-computer interaction and usability. In particular, she is working with biometric
and brain-computer interface systems which allow for
non-muscularly controlled assistive technologies. She conducts this work at the
Georgia State University
BrainLab under the direction of Dr. Melody Moore
Jackson.
During
her time at Georgia State, Adriane has published several refereed papers
including a manuscript in the International Conference on Information Systems
(ICIS) and been accepted to two doctoral consortiums.
In addition, she is a National Science Foundation (NSF)
Graduate Research
Fellowship Award Recipient, KPMG Ph.D.
Project Doctoral Scholar, and Southern Regional
Education Board (SREB) Doctoral Scholar. She is a member of the Association for
Computing Machinery (ACM), the Association for Information Systems (AIS), and
the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE).
Prior to returning to
academia, Adriane was a consultant with
Accenture, one of the leading IT and
management consulting firms in the world.
In her personal time,
Adriane enjoys dancing,
traveling, creating art, and
spending time with her
family.
