Research Interests
Ramesh’s research focuses on supporting knowledge intensive,
complex organizational processes such as requirements engineering and
traceability in systems development, business process redesign, and concurrent
product development. His research interests include the data mining, software
development at internet speed and knowledge management. His work has appeared
in several leading conferences and journals including the IEEE Transactions of
Software Engineering, MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems,
Communications of the ACM, Journal of the AIS, Decision Support Systems, Annals
of Software Engineering, Annals of Operations Research, IEEE
Computer, IEEE Software, IEEE
Internet Computing, IEEE
Intelligent Systems, IEEE IT Professional, Requirements Engineering Journal,
Information & Management, Scandinavian Journal of Information Systems, Communications
of the AIS, among others. Models and techniques developed by him have been
incorporated in several leading computer-aided software engineering tools and
are widely used in the industry. He is a recipient of over 20 research grants
funded by several prestigious government and industry sources such as the U.S.
National Science Foundation, Office of Naval Research, Air Force Research Laboratory,
Army Research Laboratory, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Accenture,
Microelectronic Computer Technology Corporation, Texas Instruments / TD
Technologies, among others.
