| This paper provides an analysis that regards how information systems can be destructive, in the sense that they can prevent necessary social activities that hold the organizational elements together. The introduction of such information systems potentially can destroy the organization that these were intended to support. The analytical components distinguish between organizational structure and structural artifacts, and a case is provided to illustrate the practical implications of the analysis. |
